New Team Message Notifications
Team Message Notifications. Now your whole team gets the message.
Introducing Team Message Notifications โ a simple way to turn patient messaging into a shared team workflow. ๐
We’re rolling out something practices have been asking for: a way to let your whole team stay on top of patient messages, together. It’s called Team Message Notifications, and it turns the Messages page from a one-person job into shared office coverage.
Here’s what used to happen
BodySite has always given practices flexible ways to see patient conversations:
| Admins can view every patient conversation in the account. |
| Team members with the โView All Messagesโ permission (new) can see all patient messages too โ without being a full admin. |
But seeing the conversations and knowing when one arrives were two different things. Until now, those users could open any thread, but they’d only get notified when a patient messaged them directly. A message could sit unread simply because the person best placed to answer it never knew it had come in.
What changes with Team Message Notifications
When Team Message Notifications is turned on for a team member who already has access to view all messages, they’re brought fully into the loop. From that point on:
| They receive notifications for every new patient message โ not just the ones addressed to them AND they can see who the message was initially sent to. | |
| New conversations move to the top of their Messages page, so the freshest threads are always in view. | |
| The red โnew messageโ indicator appears on unread threads. | |
| Email and push notifications are triggered for all incoming messages. |
The result is a true shared office inbox. Your team can jump in to cover for each other, respond to patients faster, and stop messages from slipping through the cracks โ all of which adds up to smoother communication across the whole practice.

Completely optional, completely flexible
This one’s entirely up to you. Team Message Notifications can be switched on only for the team members who should share inbox coverage โ and left off for everyone else. Nothing about your current setup changes unless you want it to.
If you want to turn on this new feature, the primary account holder or any admin must navigate to Settings > Team and turn on Team Message Notifications for all appropriate team members. Note, in order to turn this feature also, you must also have “View All Messages” or “Admin” turned on, otherwise you won’t be able to see the messages you’re being notified about.

We’ll keep building communication tools that help your team deliver faster, more connected patient care. If you have any questions, please email teambodysite@bodysite.com.
