A vision to continue care beyond the clinic

What started as a vision to get health and fitness support into the hands of more people gave birth to what BodySite is today.

BodySite began in 2010 as a community for peer-to-peer health and wellness — a place for people to support one another toward better health. Founder John Cummings saw something bigger in it: a way to connect patients and providers digitally, and to continue care beyond the four walls of the clinic.

In 2014 — before telehealth and remote care were widely adopted — BodySite launched its provider-facing solution, letting any type of healthcare provider guide patients through virtually any care program. In 2016 the native patient app followed, putting each practice in the patient’s pocket. BodySite had become a leading solution for patient education, monitoring, and virtual care.

That vision caught the attention of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), and in July 2021 its parent company, Tarsus Medical, made a major strategic investment in BodySite — with the goal of supporting and accelerating the vision John set in motion. John Cummings remains at the helm, continuing to lead BodySite as it moves deeper into the ever-growing digital healthcare space.

Today, BodySite has touched the lives of 700,000+ patients and built a worldwide network of thousands of healthcare providers, across every vertical of medicine — and it keeps evolving and innovating to be one of the best solutions in the industry.
