Storing Patient Documents Just Got Even Better
Now you can store all patient document in their record on BodySite, but only share the documents that you want to. This small upgrade provides a big benefit for you and your practice. You can upload all your patients’ documents into their record but if it’s something you don’t want them to have access to whether that’s ever or just yet, simply choose to not share it with them. This way all patient documents are stored in one place for organizational purposes but you can choose whether to keep them private or share them with the patient.
For example, some providers may want to keep certain lab results private until they’re able to have an appointment with their patient to discuss the results. Well, now you can upload those results immediately into their Document Box but choose to not share it until you’ve had an appointment or virtual clinic visit to talk more about the results with your patient. If at any time you’d like to share the document, just click on the check box to immediately share it with the patient. Your selection can be adjusted at any time.
To start using the upgraded patient Document Box, just follow a few simple steps:
- Log in to your BodySite account
- Go to the Patients or Clients page
- Open a patient record that you need to add a document for
- Click on Document Box
- Click “Select PDF to Upload”
- Choose the document you want to upload
- Choose whether or not you want to share that document with your patient. If you share it, the patient will have access to it. If you don’t, it will be in your admin view of their document box, but the patient won’t have access to it. You can change your choice at any time.
The Document Box is a great place to store signed release forms, lab results, or any other document pertinent to your patient. And now, you have full control over what documents you share with your patient and which you don’t.
This upgrade is the first of many feature upgrades coming to BodySite that are going to make you wonder why you even have an EMR. Stay tuned for more patient management upgrades coming to BodySite over the next few months!
