Patient Progress Tracking: Body & Biometrics

Looking for the best patient progress tracker for body metrics? Look no further than BodySite.
The Body Tracking App for Modern Practices
Picture this: your patient picks up their phone in the morning but instead of scrolling their favorite social media site, they click through to their account on your BodySite app. They smile. Their top three metrics are pinned to their app screen, their weight, BMI and blood pressure are all within a healthy range — thanks to you.
And when they weighed in this morning on a synced, connected scale and achieved their goal weight, their Progress Card™ turned green to let them know they made it. 🎉
The best part? All this information is shared with you, their provider. Your patient is thriving because you made it simple for them and because you could easily monitor their progress and make recommendations for further lifestyle change.
This is the power of the BodySite’s Body & Biometric Tracking.
BodySite’s body tracker has a myriad of pre-loaded biometrics and activities that can be easily tracked by your patients, including body weight, blood pressure, body composition metrics, and any custom biometric you set. You can also have patients track steps, sleep, water and any activity you choose. And remind patients to track all of this by creating tasks to track inside their portal.
Your patients also have the ability to sync their BodySite accounts with multiple connected health devices that allow for seamless and automatic real-time updates of patient metrics (no manual entry needed) that you see in your provider dashboard instantly.
The wearables and app they can sync with their BodySite account include Fitbit, Innotech Scales, Apple Health, Oura Ring, Withings scales and blood pressure cuffs and more. Using connected health devices can give your patients a way to automatically sync the data collected from connected devices into their BodySite account. And BodySite’s body tracker is just as easy to use for manual entries by you or the patient.
What truly sets BodySite’s Body and Biometric tracking apart from the rest is its ease of use, flexibility and sleek design. You and your patients can benefit from this seamless experience. Here are a few reasons you should be using the BodySite Body Tracker:
Progress Cards: See Biometric Data that Matters Right Now
BodySite’s tracking interface puts the current metric and the goal metric on a Progress Card for each biometric. At a glance, you and the patient can see how far away the goal is or if the goal was achieved. Once a goal is achieved, the progress card turns green, giving the patient a confirmation that they’ve hit their intended target. For every biometric related to body composition (like weight, body fat, muscle mass and body measurements), you’ll also see the change between the current metric and the most recent metric, including the date of the previous metric.
So when you update someone’s waist measurement today, you’ll see the progress since the last waist measurement. For weight in particular, you can also set a starting weight and on the progress card, view the total change so far. This gives you and the patient a great view into the total progress since the start, even if the goal has not yet been achieved. It’s also possible to set whether the goal is to increase or decrease.
Patients Can Pin Their Favorite Metrics
Patients can evaluate which of their biometrics they’d like to track more closely and have these metrics pinned to the top of their app screen. This creates a personalized experience that mirrors and rivals other consumer facing apps on the market.
Because your practice is the one providing this service to your patients, they’ll be wowed by their ability to stay connected to both their progress and your practice. This doesn’t just help you monitor patients more easily, it creates an experience that will keep patients coming back to your practice.
Tasks to Keep Patients Tracking
For care programs with tasks that require your patients to track certain biometrics, they can easily track those biometrics from the daily tasks screen. Checking the task as complete will open a pop-up that prompts your patients to enter their data.
Say they’re needing to track their weight. Once they check the “Track weight” task complete, the pop-up will appear where they can easily enter their weight for that day.
Seamless Syncing or Simple Manual Entry
Not everyone wants to set biometric goals and keep track of them everyday, but it should be simple for those who want to. Using BodySite’s biometric tracker, your patients can set their own personal goals for the biometrics they want to keep track of. For each biometric, the tracker gives the measurement that should be used. Your patients just have to enter a value and their goal will be set.
Track Patients’ Progress Daily
Your patients can easily log biometrics by clicking the prominent green plus sign. Whether they’re tracking weight, blood pressure, body temperature, etc., the tracker automatically gives the measurement that should be used when logging that metric. All your patients have to do is select the biometric they want to track, enter a value, and enter a date. Once they click save, that value will be logged and shown underneath “Logs”.
Once at least 2 logs are entered, a graph will appear for dates that your patient chooses for them to compare their logged values each day and look at the progress they’re making. The graph will also show the goals that your patients have set, if they chose to set a goal.
Track Custom Biometrics
While BodySite’s biometric tracker has a variety of biometrics that can be tracked, there may be circumstances where you need a patient to track something else that’s not already included. If this is the case, you have the ability to easily create a custom metric or activity and prompt the entry with a task for them to track a biometric. When they complete the the task by entering the data, the task is completed giving you a visual that the task was completed and storing the data in the patient record.
Just create the custom biometric or activity and then create a new task synced to that custom action.
BodySite’s biometric tracker is also very simple to use on the app. Patients can easily take advantage of these same features even when they’re on the go.
Easily Encourage Patients to Track Daily
Encouraging your patients to track their biometrics can be beneficial for them and may help in achieving their health and lifestyle goals. Millions of people around the world reportedly track their body metrics regularly, and biometric tracking has even been defined as the philosophy of ‘self-knowledge through numbers’.
One of the main benefits biometric tracking can provide is the ability for your patients to measure their progress overtime. If your patients aren’t logging their body metrics daily, they’ll have no accurate way of knowing if they’re making any progress towards their goals or not. By regularly tracking their biometrics, they’ll be able to look at their progress over the past couple of days, weeks, months, or even years.
Tracking biometrics can also allow your patients to tell whether or not their current routine is effective. If their tracked biometrics haven’t gotten any closer to their goals over a prolonged amount of time, that should tell them their current routine isn’t properly working for them. Once they’ve figured that out, they can adjust their health habits and routine as needed.
Why You Need BodySite
If your patients are regularly tracking their biometrics, they’re not the only ones benefitting from it. Monitoring their biometrics can help you to better guide their care. Whether they’re tracking their biometrics for you to monitor their progress while they’re on a care plan or tracking it throughout their daily lifestyle in order for you to get a better idea of their needs, body tracking will help you gain a great understanding of how to take better care of each individual patient.
Being able to access your patient’s biometric tracking data will allow you to provide better diagnoses and the opportunity to personalize their treatment as much as possible. Fortunately, biometric tracking with BodySite allows you to easily follow along with the biometric data of your patients. Once you’ve come to a better understanding of their needs and an idea of a care plan that would work for them, we have 60+ remote care programs to choose from that are all customizable using our content management system, if you choose to modify the program.
Say you’ve been watching a patient’s progress over three months and have realized they’ve been having a hard time reaching their weight goal of around 160 pounds.
