Today, staying ahead in the healthcare space is not just an option; it’s a necessity. Your patients are more focused on digital and mobile, in all aspects of their life, and are therefore looking for more digital tools to manage, track and monitor their health goals. Whether it’s booking appointments with your practice digitally, scheduling Telehealth visits, or getting education and guidance through remote patient care, patients want more from their provider. And they want it to be easy.

BodySite as a patient and practice management platform offers all of this and more but now, we’ve launched an updated mobile app with even more tools for the healthcare provider to manage your practice on the go.

Welcome to the enhanced BodySite app – where great patient care meets practice management efficiency.  The new BodySite app includes even more incredible features for our providers and their patients than ever. Before we highlight the latest (below), let’s explore what already makes BodySite the best app for healthcare professionals, and their patients.the-medical-app-your-practice-needs-bodysite

The Power of the BodySite App:

A tool like BodySite isn’t just convenient; it’s indispensable for healthcare providers and their teams. Here’s why:

1. Streamlined Patient Management:

BodySite is designed to optimize efficiency in managing patients, enabling you to streamline patient management. With easy access to patient information, the plans and care they are following and their progress, you and your staff can manage, monitor and communicate with patients wherever you are on any device.

2. Flexible Branding of Programs Inside the App:

We know that every program and patient is unique.  So you might want to completely brand the color of the navigation in the app and match it to your own practice logo and colors.  Here’s an example of a custom navigation color scheme for our fictitious Dr. Jane Wellness.  You can make your own branded color scheme and logo inside the app for every program.

3. Enhanced Patient Engagement and Messaging:

Building a strong rapport with patients is key to effective healthcare. BodySite facilitates real-time communication, ensuring providers can connect with patients effortlessly, in a HIPAA-compliant setting.

Virtual visits and messaging allow you to keep the dialogue open and patients engaged in their healthcare journey.

4. Remote Monitoring and Control:

The ability to monitor patient data and journal entries remotely is a game-changer. This feature allows you to stay in control, track your patients’ progress, and intervene promptly when needed – all from the convenience of a mobile device or your preferred device.

5. Take Notes Anytime, Anywhere:

In your practice, every moment counts, that’s why the ability to record notes remotely is invaluable. With the mobile app, you can document crucial information without being tethered to a desk, ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping.

Empowering Patients, Empowering Practices

1. Interactive Patient Education Plans:

With BodySite, you can prescribe patients a care plan that includes your educational content and daily tasks, promoting active participation and adherence to treatment plans. This isn’t just old school education; it’s interactive and empowers patients to take control of their health journey.

2. User-Friendly Tracking Tools:

Patient-friendly tools for tracking food, body metrics, activity, and water intake are designed to simplify the tracking process. This not only encourages engagement but also ensures patients are actively participating in their wellness goals.

3. Telehealth Visits:

The virtual clinic and messaging features empower patients to stay connected with their care team, ensuring continuous support and guidance.

Telemedicine integration is indispensable for providers seeking to expand their reach, as more patients look for virtual ways to interact with their care provider for visits that don’t require physical examination or instances where in-person is too cumbersome for patients to visit in-office.

Telehealth services also offer a vital way to interact with patients in between physical office visits to follow up on care protocols.

4. Effortless Food Tracking:

The BodySite app includes barcode food scanning for streamlined patient food tracking, track by photo and detailed tracking from a nutritional database of almost 1,000,000 foods, grocery items, restaurants and brands. This feature not only simplifies the process but also encourages adherence to dietary plans, promoting better health outcomes.

5. Automated Task Reminders:

Patients receive daily task reminders aligned with their care plan, fostering consistency and goal achievement. It’s a subtle nudge toward wellness that ensures patients stay on track.

App Updates: Elevating the Experience for Providers and Patients

1. Access Patient Documents and Shared Photos in the App:

When patients share a document or photo in their account, you’ll now see it in real time, right in the app!  Enable push notifications and you’ll be notified every time a patient shares a document or photo.

2. Enhanced Push Notifications for Patient and Provider:

Stay informed with new push notifications tailored for providers and patients.  For your provider app, enable new push notifications for when a patient shares a photo or document, makes a journal entry or completes an intake form, survey or questionnaire.  Patients can enable push notifications for when a new plan or survey is assigned and for daily program notifications and reminders.  Providers, staff and patients can all be notified any time a new post or group invitation is made in a group (see groups, below).

3. BodySite Groups, now in the App:

Foster a sense of community with patient groups, where providers and staff can create, invite, and engage in discussion groups for enhanced patient support. The collaborative aspect of patient groups strengthens the patient-provider relationship. This function is now available in the app, so you and your patients can take the discussion on the go.

4. Assign Forms and Surveys:

You can now assign intake forms, surveys and questionnaires and view the results of them in the app.  Need to send a patient an intake form while you’re out? No problem. Open their record in the app and assign it right there.  They’ll receive a push notification.  When they complete it, you’ll receive a push notification and you can view the completed form, right int the app.

5. Patient Macro Goals Flexibility:

We’ve added more flexible macro goal setting to the app so you and your patients can set goals in grams OR percentages (or both). This personalization ensures that nutrition tracking aligns with individual preferences and encourages sustained adherence.  You might want to provide a macro percentage breakdown goal but might also want to just tell your patent to make sure they get a certain number of grams of protein. It’s flexible.  You can also now see the entire day’s Nutrition Facts in the app.

6. Start Date Flexibility:

Patients frequently want to change the start date of their program.  So we’ve added the ability to change that date right in the app.  Flexibility is a cornerstone of BodySite’s patient-centric care tools, ensuring a more tailored and convenient health journey for your patients. Start date control is another enhancement to that experience.
