BodySite Connected Health Device Integrations: Current and Future Device Integrations
Which Connected Health Devices can be used on the BodySite platform for remotely monitoring patients? Keep reading to find out.
Connected health devices place the marvels of modern medicine right inside the palms of your patients’ hands. It’s great that patients have access to these devices but, are you using the wealth of data collected by these devices to enhance your patients’ care? If not, don’t worry, BodySite, the Remote Patient Care platform, has you covered.
BodySite’s platform helps providers to automate patient care by allowing providers to prescribe a wellness program to their patient’s portal. While patients follow the details of the digital care plan, providers can see patients track their progress on the platform in real time.
For providers and patients who want to save even more time, BodySite has the ability for patients to sync their connected devices to the platform for seamless updates of patient activity. The following devices are currently or soon-to-be integrated with our solution:
Fitbit
Fitbit is regarded as one of the first of its kind in terms of being a mainstream wearable health device for the consumer. Regardless of one’s health goals or concerns, Fitbit helps the user to track their steps, sleep and water intake and more. While all these functions and more can be manually entered into the platform, these are some great metrics to consistently have synced to the patient’s portal. Users can follow the steps outlined at this article to synch their Fitbit to their BodySite account.
Innotech Scale
Included as part of our weight loss in a box and other boxed care solutions, the Innotech scale is a great tool for patients who want to replace their current scale with a smart scale. No need for patients to manually insert their weight, they just need to step on the scale and it will communicate their weight automatically. The scale measures 9 different body metrics including weight, body fat percentage, muscle, visceral fat, and others. It’s an easy-to-use body composition scale that patients can readily get their hands on and synch automatically with BodySite.
InBody Scale
InBody is a body composition scale that helps the patient and provider to know the user’s weight in a more scientific way. In addition to telling the patient their weight in pounds, this scale helps to account for water weight, fat, and muscle percentage so that patients have a better idea of their overall progress. These metrics can be inserted automatically into the platform. While InBody is an in-office solution, many practitioners are using this as an add-on service in their practice. The synching process is seamless and easy to follow.
Apple Health and Apple Watch
Apple Health is a great tool because it doesn’t require patients to pick up a new piece of hardware. Instead they just need their phone, and really, who doesn’t have their phone within arm’s reach these days? This app tracks metrics such as physical activity, calories, heart rate etc. So for patients who were previously using this app and want an easy and HIPAA compliant way to share it with you, all they need to do is connect it with our platform. The integration also works for those with Apple Watches.
Withings Blood Pressure Cuff and HealthMate
Also a popular addition to our boxed care solutions, the Withings Blood Pressure cuff is a tried and true device that allows patients to measure their blood pressure at home, all they need is the device, their phone and a Wifi connection. This integration is great for patients with heart conditions or for remote intake purposes.
Oura Ring
Oura ring combines beauty and function as a piece of connected health device jewelry. A stylish and smart way for patients to track their activity, sleep and more is now integrated with BodySite. Read more about how BodySite is integrated with Oura Ring here.
